Playschool staff

 Yvonne has been at Playschool for over a decade. She taught, was the director and returns to Playschool this year to help Sadie with administrative tasks. 

Sadie has been at Playschool for 11 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in early education. She loves creating a classroom environment that is a loving and a safe place for little ones to gain confidence, learn, and grow. 

She comes from a huge family, and her favorite thing to do is spend time with them. Her passion is art and she loves to be creative and use that in the classroom.  

Angeles is a grandmother and mother of six.  She was born in Havana, Cuba but grew up all over the world: Montreal, Buenos Aires, Irvington, NY, Madrid, Lisbon, and Rio de Janeiro.  

She has probably taught many of the parents at Rye Playschool during her 35 years teaching here!  Angeles is passionate about early childhood development, art, gardening, and cooking. 

Rebeca begins her first year with enthusiasm and energy that will serve us well in our Nursery classroom. She has three children who keep her grounded yet busy. We are delighted to have her join our team.

This is Deirdre's third year in the Rye Playschool family.  She began her career as an elementary school teacher before taking time to be at home with her family. Having over a decade of preschool experience, she enjoys working with our young and eager learners as they begin their school adventures.  In addition to reading and working in her yard, Deirdre most enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. 

Daniella has worked in a preschool setting for many years, and this is her first year at Rye Playschool.She holds a master's degree in education and worked in elementary schools before she had her daughter.
In her free time, she enjoys reading on the beach, going to live shows, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Patrice (Mrs. Pat) has been with Playschool for 13 years. She has worked in both the Toddler and 2's / 3's classrooms. 

She enjoys making her classroom full of learning by nurturing and always fostering confidence within her students. 

 She encourages learning through play with developmentally age-appropriate hands- on activities.

Ms. Pat loves spending time with family, going to museums, sporting events and concerts.

This is Beth's 3rd year at Playschool. After working in the nursery room  she teaches upstairs in our morning extension program. Her energy is contagious. She holds a degree in law and has raised two boys of her own.  Beth is our photographer and technology extraordinaire. We are so fortunate to have Beth on our team.

Jenny grew up in the UK, moved to the US at age 21, and proudly became a US citizen in 2018.   She went to college in Wales, where she received her certificate in Nursery Nursing (NNEB).  She has worked for ten years as a private nanny in London and Rye and taught at All Souls Nursery School for the past ten years.

She is a mom to four children who are all adults now. When she is not working, she loves family time and spending her weekends and summers in Rhode Island. She loves gardening, sewing, and enjoying breakfast or dinner on the beach.

Andrea comes to Playschool as our permanent substitute and all-around helper. She has 5 children of her own, so there isn't much that surprises her! We are delighted to welcome her to Rye Playschool.

This is Laura's second year at Playschool  teaching the 3's and 4's as well as  afternoon Lunch Bunch program. She has been teaching for over 20 years and holds her degree in elementary education. Laura has just moved back to the area after living in Florida, and we are so lucky to have her join our team.
